Our Mission
Universal Driving School's mission is to ensure that each and every driver is confident behind the wheel, knows how to operate their vehicle with confidence, and is comfortable yet cautious of their surroundings while driving a car. Our instructor works with students to ensure that this mission is met and completed.

Our Instructor's Teaching
The instructor teaches students all the skills needed for driving from learning how to properly change lanes to parallel parking . Students will start driving in a residential area; once the instructor feels that the student(s) are experienced enough, he will have them in more crowded, busy areas within the Bay Area.

Our Approach
In-car driving lessons are guaranteed to be private. The instructor is patient and takes his time explaining concepts as well as techniques to the student in a calm manner. He provides allocated time for students to ask questions and is happy to answer anything! He's also more than happy to reteach concepts.
Our Instructor's Vehicle
The instructors car is an automatic Honda Civic. Students will be driving the instructor's car at all times and have the option of using his car during their driving exam. The car is fully insured and safe to drive in. If anything occurs to the car while the student is driving, the instructor has a dual set of pedals where he sits.

Meet The Instructor
Joseph A.
Hello! My name is Joseph and I'll be your driving instructor. I've been teaching students how to drive for over ten years and have specialized my techniques to ensure students pass their exam on their first try. I enjoy teaching people from all backgrounds and ages. I'm dedicated to making sure that you receive the best service possible and that you feel comfortable behind the wheel when driving.

I became interested in teaching others how to drive because I noticed that there was a pattern of students who were eager to get on the road, but were nervous about driving. This was an issue to me because I firmly believe that everyone is able to learn how to drive, regardless of how nervous one may be. Furthermore, I believe that drivers licenses provide individuals the opportunity to become independent. For these reasons, I decided to open a driving school

Now, I teach students from all walks of life and from various backgrounds. I even teach international students who pass their driving license tests the first time! I am well known and heavily respected within the DMV community. They are aware of my strong teaching abilities. I also have a reputation at the DMV for students passing their tests for the first time.

​It is without a doubt, that you have the ability and capability to learn how to drive. Driving takes time, patience, and practice; everyone deserves an excellent instructor who provides them quality lessons. It'd be my pleasure to teach you to drive and watch you grow from a new driver to an experienced one.
